The 2021 Visit Mountain Maryland Destination Guide!
It's that time again as we start to prepare the 2021 Visit Mountain Maryland Destination Guide. In 2020, we printed 70,000 destination guides. Despite the disrupted travel season, we were able to distribute nearly all of the 2020 guides in our target markets and our individual destination guide requests were up 3% year-over-year.
When Welcome and Visitor Centers shut down across the state, we got creative and distributed guides through the Baltimore Sun, targeting subscriber demographics and household incomes. We recognize that 2020 has impacted our community and business partners and have spent much time weighing our options for a 2021 Visit Mountain Maryland Destination Guide. As professional marketers, we understand that history repeats itself, and in turbulent times, businesses that continue to invest in marketing and advertising stay engaged with consumers and have a quicker recovery than those who conserve or stop efforts altogether, which is why we feel our guide is far too important of a marketing tool for our destination and its economic well-being to go without. The ‘Visit Mountain Maryland Destination Guide’ is published by Nelson Marketing and Publishing and Allegany County Tourism. It is Allegany County, Maryland’s, primary and premier physical marketing collateral. Published annually, the Destination Guide is designed with a strong focus on regional storytelling and inspiring photography. It is the go-to guide for inspiration on where to stay, where to eat, and what to do when traveling to Mountain Maryland. Guide Features:
